Cupcakes?!?

It's rare that you'll ever hear us promoting other companies, especially food. This will be one of those times that we're going to bend the rules and make an exception. No we did not get paid for posting this blog and no we will not post reviews on your company if you email us.

So without further a due, we'd like to tell you guys about some of the best cupcakes in all of NYC. There's this little sweet shop buried deep in the heart of Chinatown called Everything Frosted. If you're not from NYC, this is probably one of those side streets that you'd think to avoid. Think again! These are some of the NYC streets that I live for. I've found some of the best little stores with some of the most humble owners and employees just by walking down creepy hallways, up dark stairwells, and in damp basements.

Upon one of my daily walks through Chinatown, I noticed a little sign located on a little side street called Mosco Street. I've walked down this street before and never seen this sign before. It talked of Sweets treats like cupcakes, truffles, and cakes. It was bad enough being on a side street without foot traffic, it's even worse being on a side street and on a 2nd floor. I was intrigued so I walk up the tiny stairwell and opened the door to be greeted with the wonderful aroma of sweet fruits and butter cream. I forgot the nice gentleman's name who welcomed me into their establishment who soon introduced me to John, the owner of Everything Frosted. They were both more than willing to show me the wide range of cupcakes they had to offer. Cupcakes like vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, and even pink champagne. Each cupcake came with the option of lemon, chocolate, or jasmine white chocolate icing. I decided to get a four pack for our co-workers to try out.

I decided to get the red velvet with the jasmine white chocolate icing. Let me tell you, this cupcake was to die for. I've eaten cupcakes from pretty much every cupcake place in the city and this one took the cake (Pun intended). The cupcakes exterior was nice and solid with a perfectly moist center which was the perfect compliment for the melt in your mouth icing. From the first moment the icing hit my mouth I could tell that this is no traditional cupcake icing. Everything Frosted's icing was delicate yet complex with so many flavors that it left your taste buds craving for more. It was a light and fluffy consistency which melted once it entered your mouth. This is the flavor combination that I've been waiting for! If it wasn't for my co-workers taking the other three, I would have eaten myself into a cupcake coma.

So if any of you reading this find yourself in NYC with a cupcake craving, I impure you guys to go and check out Everything Frosted located at 105 Mosco Street 2nd Floor NY NY, 10013. You won't be disappointed. I'm sure they'll be at every one of our gallery openings too!
